Awesome.
Guys, Garth was too busy blogging for all the other teams than to be relevant with his "own". |

After offering Vanek for Stastny on the Avs board here was a response
.....
Beyond the fact that Semin & Parise could be available in free-agency. There are plenty of options out there I would explore before Vanek. (Mainly younger and on better contracts)
YOUR NOT GETTING A NO. 1 CENTER for anything but over payment.
O'Reilly is not a No. 1 center and Duchene is not ready for that role.
Try Myers + Hodgson (I might add a prospect like Barrie but that's it, Otherwise I hang up)
I really don't understand why people think they are going to get one of our centers for anything but over payment. Stastny has finally rebounded in the second half of the season and looking ready to put up numbers like he has in the past after given a former 3rd liner (McGinn) and a 2nd/3rd line tweener in Jones.
If you have a problem with how much I value Stastny then that's your problem as well. There is one realistic trade for one of our centers I like and that's it. O'Reilly for Ryan.

Well, I hope they enjoy Staatny then. He hasnt been a #1 center since his last signing. Having Stastny on your roster is an overpayment as is, so again... Good luck avs fan.

Wow. That's a serious overvalue of Stastny. His contract is pretty bad, and I wouldn't call him a #1 centre. Hodgson has a higher ceiling, and will likely improve on his stats from this season.

To be fair, this one is at least tangentially Sabres focused. |

More like zero class.
He could've just said we got a grinder to play the 3rd line center duties with cup experience and were able to get a player we feel is on par with Hodgson as far as potential prospect wise. It was a good hockey trade for both teams.
He aired dirty laundry to the public and that is never a good thing. |

Exactly... Is he trying out for the Habs job, or what? |

I hope Pierre Mcguire lands that so he's not on my tv anymore. |
